13 May New Release: TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
It has taken us over a year to produce our Diploma Qualification resources, and our design team has worked tirelessly to make the complex easy to understand.
The qualification has 3 core Units:
- TAEDES511 Design and develop strategies for training and assessment
- TAEDES515 Evaluate training
- TAEPDD511 Maintain and enhance professional practice
Prerequisite for Core Units
- TAEDES411 Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs or TAEDES402 Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
There are 9 elective units and 3 different streams, each stream is a specialisation.
Stream 1. This is for VET Leadership, and we add the following 9 units to the 3 core units
- TAEASS513 Lead assessment moderation and validation processes
- TAEPDD502 Lead and mentor VET teachers, trainers and assessors
- TAETAS511 Undertake organisational training needs analysis
- BSBAUD412 Work within compliance frameworks
- BSBAUD511 Initiate quality audits
- BSBAUD512 Lead quality audits
- BSBAUD513 Report on quality audits
- BSBSTR502 Facilitate continuous improvements
- BSBAUD515 Evaluate and review compliance
Prerequisite for Stream 1
- TAEASS413 or TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation
Stream 2. This is for Advanced Training and Assessment
This stream would be extremely difficult to complete unless working in an RTO
- TAEASS513 Lead assessment moderation and validation processes
- TAEPDD502 Lead and mentor VET teachers, trainers and assessors
- TAETAS511 Undertake organisational training needs analysis
- TAERES511 Apply research to training and assessment practice
- TAEDES512 Design and develop print-based learning resources
- TAEASS512 Design and develop assessment tools
- TAEASS514 Develop and implement plans for recognition of prior learning
- TAEASS511 Lead assessment (4)
- TAEDEL512 Lead training facilitation (5)
Prerequisite for Stream 2
- TAEASS413 or TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation
- TAEASS412 or TAEASS402 Assess competence
- TAEDEL411 Facilitate vocational learning or TAEDEL401 Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning
Stream 3. This is for Design and Development

How can I do the course?
The 3 streams have identical 3 core units plus 3 electives which are common thus our delivery models is as follows:
Self-Paced Delivery
Our Self-Paced delivery is designed for those who need a flexible learning structure. This delivery method is an entirely learner-driven/self-managed approach to the TAE50122 – Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
In addition to the course resources, we will provide:
- A dedicated discussion forum
- An ongoing series of webinars including Q&A sessions
- Tutorials in the form of Videos
- Access to a qualified Trainer via phone or email

Blended Delivery
An initial 5-day delivery that can be attended either in person or by Virtual Classroom via TEAMS. The 5 days will provide underpinning knowledge plus introduce you to the resources and activities you will have to undertake.
Our first workshop is being held on the 10th – 14th of August in North Sydney or by Virtual Classroom

Recognition of Prior Learning
VET Units of Competency are subject to RPL claims and TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training is no different, our RPL kit is readily available for those that have solid evidence that complies with the Rules of Evidence.
All Learners will be given 24 months to complete the course
As the future unfolds the Diploma may well become the qualification that determines who gets what position in an RTO or enterprise, make sure you are future proofed!
