19 Aug Pilot Course Complete – TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training

The HBA Learning Centres team has just conducted a pilot facilitation of our blended TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training qualification with participants enrolled across all three of the available specialisation streams addressing Advanced Training & Assessment, Design & Development and VET Leadership.

We had an outstanding group of participants on this first course, some senior trainers and assessors from the VET sector, and others with significant previous VET experience who are now working in corporate training environments. All participants decided on the Dip VET to further their professional development, differentiate themselves, and/or move into senior training and management roles.

The input and participation was outstanding and provided for an informal, collaborative, workshop atmosphere. The feedback from our participants was overwhelmingly positive. They all felt that there was value in selecting the blended delivery mode and that spending a full week focussing on the qualification would significantly reduce the remaining workload.

The blended week addressed the three core units and three common units of competency across all specialisations. Whilst there is no way that we could get through all of the activities within the workshop week, participants were able to consider their options for task completion, gain a clear understanding of the evidence requirements for each of the units covered, make a start on some of the practical tasks, form a network for support with group tasks, and have some excellent discussions amongst the group about VET and the qualification.
