24 Mar The Pilot course of TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Today is a fabulous day at HBA Learning Centres because it is the last day of our 15-day Blended delivery Pilot Course for the new TAE qualification. It has been a revelation and, as all pilot courses are designed to do, it has highlighted several modifications, enhancements and variations we need to make before the first public course commences on Monday the 17th April. Thank you to the participants who have been both fantastic and helpful through the process.
As we consider the outcomes, we note there is a critical element in week 2 which is where we endeavour to cover off 7 of the required 13 presentations. It is important Learners complete the preparation for these in the exact order of delivery otherwise confusion will reign, resulting in you needing to do these in your own time. For most participants there will most likely be 3 mentoring and 3 work skill instruction sessions left to complete post course, all of which can be done in the comfort of your own environment with the use of a Video recording.
Presentations that you are required to deliver:
Two (2) off 10-minute presentations with 1 person based on the structure and content of 2 learning programs produced.
Three (3) off 30-minute presentations with a minimum of 4 people physically in the room with you. These are based on session plans from the Learning program you produce.
Two (2) off 30-minute presentations with 1 person based on session plans from the Learning Program you produce.
Three (3) off 30-minute presentations with 1 person based on work based learning programs you produce.
Three (3) off 30-minute presentations with 1 person based on a mentoring plan you produce.
This sounds more daunting than it really is, given the interactive nature of this course you and your fellow learners will become quite close for the duration of the 3 weeks and everyone helps everyone else.
We know there has been a bit of angst about the work required in the new qualification but this has been overly stated simply because without conducting a Pilot Program how would anyone really know?
Do yourself a favour and join one of our wonderful trialled and tested courses either by Virtual Classroom or Face to Face delivery, every course has a mix of both methods on it.
