11 Aug Who does a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment?
One of the luxuries a business like us has is, after delivering the various versions of the Cert IV to tens of thousands of people since 2005 we are able to collate and interrogate the data to see who does the qualification.
We know about 55% of our Learners work in or are about to work in an RTO that delivers a variety of qualifications from Fitness to First Aid, from English to Real Estate etc but the balance is way more interesting because it is in this 45% we find the various Enterprise RTO’s, organisations that only deliver to their staff, Government Departments including Commonwealth, State and Local and, practitioners of Work Health and Safety. In the WHS category we note a large percentage have actually completed a CIV or Diploma of Work Health and Safety. It is a natural flow on from a WHS qualification given the need to educate workers on Safety and it is obviously more effective if the training is given by a qualified person in a the format prescribed by TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Much has been written over the past 6 months about the emergence of a new CIV in training and assessment and you can read about that HERE We highlight certain facts:
- To date the indication is the current and new qualification will both be deemed as meeting the legislated requirement for trainers and assessors
- The new qualification has not been accredited by the Government as of 9/8/22
So if you are in a position of wanting to hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment then I would enrol right now because we can guarantee you, the new one will be more complex and difficult to complete than the current qualification.
