This highly sought after qualification has 2 main parts to it:

1.        What you need to be able to do-this is called Performance Evidence and entails you undertaking practical activities

2.      What you need to know-this is called Knowledge Evidence and it entails you answering a workbook full of questions

HBA offers several different ways to do the course and each way has its own strengths.

The first delivery model is named Self-Paced Learning, it involves you working with the resources we give you to research, study, answer questions and produce various tools, instruments and resources using the templates we provide. The strength of this is it is ideally suited to those that can not get the time off work to attend a class, those that work in emergency services and those that have been exposed to Vocational Education by working in an RTO.

The second delivery model is named Self-Paced PLUS Learning, and this involves you receiving underpinning knowledge from one of our accredited trainers who will introduce you to all of the things you have to prepare, produce and answer. This is suited to those that can only access 5 days off work , those that have a highly intellectual mind and those that have studied a Certificate IV or above of recent times.

The third and most popular model is named Blended Delivery and this is 3 blocks of 5 days that can be attended in consecutive weeks or split by whatever time frame suits your circumstances. In this model you will complete most of the practical activities including the creation of instruments, tools and resources. You will have a relatively small amount of work to complete plus the Knowledge Question Workbook. This is suited to those that want to complete the course in the shortest possible (compliant) way.
