TAESS00019 - Assessor Skill Set
Are you interested in being a trained assessor? The TAESS00019 assessor skill set will provide you with the skills and knowledge to assess in the vocational education sector
The TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set is designed to provide the necessary skills and knowledge for people to conduct assessment and operate without supervision in the vocational education and training (VET) sector, in accordance with the Standards for RTOs.
The units of competencies from this Skill Set contribute towards the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
The three units within this skill set are:
- TAEDES411 Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs
- TAEASS412 Assess competence
- TAEASS413 Participate in assessment validation
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no entry requirements for this course.
COURSE DURATION
Learners are given up to 6 months to complete the course.

Overview: Our Self-Paced delivery is designed for those that need a flexible learning structure. This delivery method is an entirely online approach to the TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set
Features: The Self-paced delivery method is completed in your own time, at your own pace and is ideally suited to highly motivated self-starters. We provide our Learners ongoing support throughout the learning-pathway via telephone, email, and our industry leading online Discussion Forums.
All course materials are downloaded electronically. Thus, you may commence almost immediately once enrolled.
Blended (Intensive) Delivery
Cost: $1,200
Attendance: Virtual Classroom or Physically in Class
Structure: 4-day workshop (Monday-Thursday)
Overview: Our Blended delivery for the TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set includes a 4-day workshop with an experienced HBA trainer.
You have 2 choices to attend the 4-day delivery;
– face to face in the training room at a HBA venue, or
– through our online virtual classroom from the comfort of your own home or office
Features: The Blended (intensive) delivery model substantially accelerates your learning; you will enjoy and benefit from the group dynamics created by having other learners in a class. The trainer will lead the group down a carefully planned pathway of learning where clustered delivery and formal assessment are part of the normal day.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Cost: $200 initial assessment and $200 per unit
